Preparing for Your Bio-Well Scan

Before the Scan

  • Electronic Devices and Metal Objects:
    • Remove all electronic devices and heavy jewelry. Daytime-only rings should also be removed to ensure an accurate scan.
  • Health Restrictions:
    • Clients with electronic medical implants, such as pacemakers or Inspire upper airway stimulation systems, should not undergo the Bio-Well Scan.
    • Avoid the scan if you have had a myocardial infarction (heart attack).
  • Eating and Drinking:
    • Refrain from eating or drinking (except water) 1.5 to 2 hours before your scan.
  • Hand Washing:
    • Avoid washing hands or using hand sanitizer within 20 minutes of the scan. If necessary, wash hands thoroughly and then wait 15-20 minutes before the scan.
  • Nail Length:
    • Traditionally, long nails can interfere with finger positioning on the glass electrode. However, the Bio-Well 3.0 model accommodates longer nails with extra space at the top of the electrode and a more flat orientation.
  • Medications:
    • Disclose any medications you are taking as they can significantly affect the scan results.

Special Considerations:

  1. Menstrual Cycle:
    • For women, it’s important to note that menstruation and the ±2 days surrounding it can impact your scan.

During the Scan:

  1. Positioning:
    • If possible, stand during the scan. Sitting can affect the energy readings, particularly in the pelvic area and lower back.
