Preparing for Your Bio-Well Scan
Before the Scan
- Electronic Devices and Metal Objects:
- Remove all electronic devices and heavy jewelry. Daytime-only rings should also be removed to ensure an accurate scan.
- Health Restrictions:
- Clients with electronic medical implants, such as pacemakers or Inspire upper airway stimulation systems, should not undergo the Bio-Well Scan.
- Avoid the scan if you have had a myocardial infarction (heart attack).
- Eating and Drinking:
- Refrain from eating or drinking (except water) 1.5 to 2 hours before your scan.
- Hand Washing:
- Avoid washing hands or using hand sanitizer within 20 minutes of the scan. If necessary, wash hands thoroughly and then wait 15-20 minutes before the scan.
- Nail Length:
- Traditionally, long nails can interfere with finger positioning on the glass electrode. However, the Bio-Well 3.0 model accommodates longer nails with extra space at the top of the electrode and a more flat orientation.
- Medications:
- Disclose any medications you are taking as they can significantly affect the scan results.
Special Considerations:
- Menstrual Cycle:
- For women, it’s important to note that menstruation and the ±2 days surrounding it can impact your scan.
During the Scan:
- Positioning:
- If possible, stand during the scan. Sitting can affect the energy readings, particularly in the pelvic area and lower back.
